Special tools

JEA Products specializes in designing and manufacturing a custom installation tool. We can manufacture inserting tools for installing almost any size O-ring, as well as Back-up rings, (solid only, not scarfe cut), Quad rings, and some U-cups and wiper rings.

 

Special tools are price quoted individually. We ask for an emailed drawing of your part with specs and will usually ask for 2-3 sample parts and 20+ of your rings to use during machining and testing.

 

What applications require special tools?

• Parts with threads, steps, countersinks, counter bores, varying bore sizes, multiple O-ring grooves in close proximity, ball bearing holes, and other such features in front of O-ring groove require a tool with a protective sleeve to prevent damage to O-ring during installation.

• Deeper insertion depths.

• Back-up, quad, and metric or non-standard sized rings.
